It was a long stretch leading to the Marina Bay Sands hotel complex.
a ferry boat cruising down the bay,
& the setting of the sun.
We reached the plaza in front of the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
where the focal point is Ned Khan's Rain Oculus, a 70 ft diameter acrylic bowl from where a whirlpool forms & falls two storeys to a pool below. This functions as both a skylight & a rain collector.
The open promenade area for tourists & locals alike.
Bikers' haven, too.
Lily pads afloat.
The stand-alone store of LV (Louis Vuitton, housed in one of the 'Crystal Pavilions'.
Inside.
Finding your way around.
The shopping mall canal.
A famous tea kiosk & lounge.
Fashion brands galore!
Atrium.
A play of natural & artificial lights.
Sun baffles.
On our way to Gardens by the Bay.
Passed through this deck walkway
& caught a glimpse again of the Singapore Flyer
& the Marina Bay Sands, which was viewed in different awesome angles.
Nearing the Gardens by the Bay complex,
with the Supertree Grove
& the Flower Dome.
We didn't explore the complex but had to rush back to the Esplanade for dinner with our hosts.
But before that, photo ops first,
& then watched the Wonder full Light & Water Spectacular.
From the light & water show which lasted for 13-15 minutes, we moved back to the Esplanade Mall
& had Korean BBQ dinner
with our gracious hosts, the Rodriguezes.
