[my ZALORA.PH shopping experience]

I finally did some online shopping for my girls, who, since December, have been bugging me to buy some nice stuff they saw at ZALORA.

Just last week, this parcel arrived 3 days from date of purchase. Super fast, with nary a hitch nor glitch. :)

[store finds : HIPSTER SWEATERS]

My girls bought some hipster sweaters sometime in November last year.

They wore them in chilly Baguio before Christmas.

Great news is, they can still have them on back in Manila. I read here that this fair, nippy weather will continue till February. ;)

Everyone in the metro seems happy to be in this sweater weather for a change. Let's enjoy it while it lasts. :)

[my attempts at OOTDs]

Oh, I suck at OOTDs! ;)

My girls have taken photos of me for my supposed-to-be 'outfit posts' but I never got to publish them. Why? Because that inner voice points out so many reasons - body issues, not photogenic enough,  outfits not post-worthy, etc.

Well, I have found a way to make it happen. They are actually half-OOTDs. I guess this suits me fine for now, until I get comfortable doing the full poses. :)

[SHOPPING for my teen fashionistas]

My daughters are so into fashion that shopping for garbs is what they love doing.

They have Lookbook & Tumblr to turn to for fashion inspirations. That's why, every time we go out on a once-a-month retail therapy, we scour different stores to give us more style & price options.

From known clothing retail stores, bazaars or department stores, my girls have discovered these havens for their fashion finds. The only place left to buy from is an online shop. The truth is, I am a little wary of online transactions especially when it has something to do with plastic cards. Identity thefts, unauthorized purchases, undelivered items do happen & those are what I frown upon. But for a lot of my friends who have long been into online shopping, I hardly hear a negative feedback. They say it's so convenient & hassle-free.

I am glad there are online shopping sites like Zalora,

that offer free shipping for orders at a minimum amount of 1000, cash upon delivery so you no longer use your credit card, several payment options & best of all, returns are accepted free of charge within a 30-day period. With that, online shopping becomes easy & fun.

I think I will try this store for some holiday shopping with my teen fashionistas. Soon. ;)

[CLAIRE'S for GIRLS]

One time, my youngest mentioned to me a name of a store that sells 1D merchandise. It's CLAIRE'S, an international specialty retailer of jewelry & accessories & she said it recently opened somewhere near BHS/BGC. I remember having seen it In Market!Market!, so I took the girls there a couple of weeks after.

That day, the store was on sale.

[my girls in their SKATER SKIRTS]

A lot of teen girls these days  are seen sporting skater skirts.

Including my daughters.

Considered as a wardrobe staple, the skater skirt has been called such because it resembles a figure skating outfit-fitted at the waist & flared out into an A-line silhouette.

[store finds: COOL TOPS & BOTTOMS FOR TEENS]

My girls discovered another fashion store in M!2 that sells cool teen apparel. It's BALLOW & it is the sister store of DIVI VILLE, one of the shops I blogged about here.

[the tale of the FLOWER CROWNS]

Before, it was only worn at weddings.

Now, the flower crown has evolved into a fashion statement. It is  a versatile headpiece that can 'romanticize' any look - casual or formal.

[store finds: COOL SHORTS, BRANDED OVERRUNS & a MINI SKIRT]

We had an unproductive outfit shopping trip last Tuesday in Greenhills. So, the next day, it was off to M!2 again for us.

In the countless times we had been to this bazaar mall, the girls & I have already discovered the stores that sell cool clothes for teens.

Here are our 3 favorites:

[the fashion brand invasion]

Yesterday, while going around the newly-refurbished Glorietta 2, Jill & I looked over the merchandise inside the stores of 2 of the new fashion brands in town. Both are from the Spanish group, Inditex.

[LOAFING around]

Just got me a new pair of loafers, at 700 pesos! ;)

I went back to Robinson's Metro East just to buy this pair of feet-friendly shoes in leopard print.

[save or splurge?]

I maybe petite,  but I still go for comfy flats to wear. No killer heels for me. So when I saw Aimee's latest shoe find, I told myself to get a new pair, too!

In my search for one that compares (or comes close) to a YS, I found myself buying this from JELLY BEAN.

[the long & SHORTS of it]

If only I had long, shapely legs *sniff*, then donning these  pair of chic, dressy shorts would be a breeze.

[aka STORYBIRD]

During our Baguio trip last December, we went to this row of retail stores inside CJH. I saw this  pair of ballet flats. Took a fancy buying it but held off at the last minute. We went home and forgot all about it.

The next day, we found ourselves going back to CJH. I did not know that my hubby knew I wanted to buy the shoes. So, when we were in that store again, he blurted out, "You go buy those Storybird shoes that you want." Puzzled at what he said, I asked my girls about it. They both smiled and then told me, "Mommy, Daddy meant the Tory Burch shoes!"  That remark from their dad kept the three of us in stitches... =D

So, here's what I got for myself - the Tory Burch pair aka the Storybird! ;)

[i heart ANDYHEART]

She is my favorite poser on POSE. Likewise, she is my fashion peg - simple, clean lines, neutral hues, classic  apparel, nothing fancy. If I could just have my way with the savings I have, granting that hubby accedes also, I would love to buy the same clothes that she has in her closet. ANN KIM aka ANDY HEART has got the look that I want!
