[cooking the perfect PANCAKE]

Pancakes are a good breakfast option but cooking them is a different story. Every time I do, they always end up looking like scrambled pancakes - you know, not the perfectly round & smooth ones that they have in the restaurants. :(

I heard using the teflon-coated pans would do the trick but the health hazards that come with cooking in them stopped me. I kept on looking for alternatives until I saw this in SM.

This one is stone-coated, non-stick so oil is not needed.

Priced at almost Php 1,000.00 a piece

I used this for the first time last Sunday when we had whole wheat banana pancakes for breakfast. Notice that you just swirl around the batter & you get perfect round ones. Those lumps you see are mashed banana cut-ups. ;)

I really had an easy-breezy time making the pancakes. I used a wooden spatula to avoid scratching the surface. It is important that you do not use metal utensils. The heat-resistant silicone type is another option.

Here's our breakfast spread last weekend. I paired the pancakes with vienna sausages & herbed scrambled eggs. Yummy! :)

    1. Hi maqui!
Medyo complicated ang crepe-making. I will wait for your post na lang muna to see how you do it. ;)

  2. Kamukha din nyan pan na recently namin nabili Maqui and Peach pero bakit yung amin sabi Ceramic-coating. Lacor ang brand. Yung isang set ilang piraso? Or by set do you mean pan and the cover lang?

I am not sure, but the stone-coated might be available in other SM branches.
