[no green-eyed monster]

A relative once took notice of my daughters' closeness to their father. She said that it's a good thing since it's so rare for dads to be openly loving & doting to their children.

It didn't come as a surprise to me when I heard that & I felt not a tinge of insecurity nor jealousy. In fact, I felt happy for the girls. I know of some kids who are wanting of affection from their parents but  my girls are getting their dose of love from their dad effortlessly.

Here are a couple of pictures I have taken of the three of them walking together, their backs to me. Since I am almost always a step or two behind them when we go out, I am able to capture these moments.

It is so reassuring to see them together like this because even when I am not around, or sooner or later, I will be gone, I know that the girls will be in good hands. ;)

  1. Aaaw.. I love this post.
I was never close to my dad. For us, he will always strike as the strict, disciplinarian type who never shows emotion. But when his apos came, nagbago lahat yun.
In fairness with the hubs naman, he tries his very best to be close to Akira :)

    1. thanks, EM!

i think the mommies are lucky nowadays. marami ng tatay na parenting partners at hands-on dads kaya, more or less, madali na ang mag-pamilya.

i was not also close to my late dad, pero he worked hard naman for our family & he was really kindhearted.

and, we are lucky to be married to responsible, good hubbies na rin. ;)
