[SUGARING by BARENAKED]

Hair removal for me has always been either by shaving or using of creams. But these methods don't give lasting results since after two days, there would be noticeable hair growth. Add to that the chicken skin & the dark pigmentation as side effects. :(

Wanting to end my shaving woes, I decided to try sugaring this time.

From their store window ad, it claims to being less painful, 100% organic & leads to permanency. I had to see that for myself.

I was ushered into one of their cubicles. Simple & clean.

This is the glob of sugaring paste used on me. For hygienic purposes, it was held by a gloved hand.

After many swipes & pulls on the pits, it was done in 10 minutes. It was slightly painful alright but the silky-smooth after-feel you get more than made up for the 'ouchies'.

There is a list of things to avoid after sugaring: NO to perfumes, scented creams/lotions, deodorants, water, heat such as baths/steam rooms/saunas, direct sunlight, perspiration, touching of the newly-sugared area with dirty hands, tight clothing. It is important that you follow the restrictions because you might end up with an infected skin & some breakouts.

I have also gotten the girls sugared. Each visit sets us back Php 200.00/person. So far, it takes us 3 weeks until the next appointment. By this time after going there thrice already, we have noticed a regrowth of fine, fuzz-like hair. The skin has also lightened a bit because it exfoliates as it removes the hair. :)

The results have really been satisfying. And the nicest thing about going back here is the loyalty card they issue to clients upon their first visit. You get discounts after the 5th, 10th visits & on your birthday. ;)
