[skewers of affordable goodness at YAKITORIONE]

Last Friday's holiday brought the girls & I to SM Aura. The 3rd time's a charm because we had a easy-breezy time going around. The 'mega crowd' was no longer there & parking slots were aplenty. ;)

After my girls were done with visiting their favorite fashion stops, we met with their dad for an early dinner. We decided to eat at the food court & try the Van Stratens' YAKITORIONE

At the counter, there was an assortment of skewered grilled meat or yakitori on display. The smell of freshly-cooked meat that wafted through the air all the more invited us to try them. ;)

I ordered 10 sticks of the following: chicken balls, chicken/garlic, chicken/bell pepper, quail egg/pork wrap, asparagus/pork wrap & pork butabara. I added 2 bowls of soup (miso & shouga) plus two glasses of iced tea, a bottle of water & a canned soda. I paid a little less than a thousand pesos only, quite affordable (at Php 45-50 a piece) for the delicious food we had. ;)

YAKITORIONE is just one of the food stalls you can find in the high-end food court, FOOD ON FOUR.

I like what they did to the interiors. The simple, modern look furnished with 'designer chairs' like the 'EAMES shell chair' in black & white

the 'EAMES walnut stool',

& the cage drop lights.

I hope the SM AURA guys exert effort to maintain this place so future mall-goers/foodies get the same pleasurable dining experience we just had. :)
