[centers of attraction]

One of the things i look forward to seeing when i attend weddings is the reception venue. The total look of the area can really make a difference especially if the styling/arrangement of the table centerpieces are well thought-out.  Here are some ideas from marthastewartweddings.com which i like/love:

orchids, coffee beans floating candles & moss
 in long mahogany  boxes

manzanita branches with wrapped vases of
roses, cotton, tulips & ranunculus

oversized helium ballons tied to cloth-wrapped  rocks
alternating with  bowls filled with moss

rose & poppy flowers in an origami-covered can

ranunculus with votive candles arranged on top of a mirror

mini phalaenopsis in fabric-wrapped pots

floral bunches in cones

a mixture of curled sago palm leaves, roses, ranunculus

tall arrangement of soaring bells of ireland,
branches & tulips

lush fresh blossoms in a variety of blue vases

flowers in tall vases with bangle accents

fresh flowers in a jar wrapped in white paper bag

fruits & blossoms in low square wooden boxes

loose red blooms in colorful tea canisters

red carnations in porcelain container with red bow

bunches of burgundy & purple dahlias, artichokes, orange tulips,
calla lilies, ranunculus, orchids in silver vases

lone stem blooms arranged  in vessels of various heights

burgundy cymbidium orchids with sugar maple leaves

tree branches decorated with orange orchids & candles

a small centerpiece of orange hued flowers
with blackberries &  green foliages
white bowls & platters of different citrus fruits
with lemon leaves & floral accents
like white gardenias, orchids
