[light me up]

yesterday, my youngest told me about their recent science exhibit in school. she mentioned the solar bottle light bulb. she said it was one of the featured projects of the 3rd & 4th high school students. she was excited to tell me that she saw for herself how it actually lit up a small enclosed space which was put up inside a classroom.

iliac diaz of myshelter foundation introduced this solar bottle light bulb concept thru his a liter of light project. it is a nationwide initiative which aims to provide lighting for less-fortunate households. the whole system makes use of 1.5 liter soda plastic bottles, corrugated sheets, & a solution of water & bleach.
