If you have a tweener in your family, you probably know how this boy group, ONE DIRECTION, is making the tweeners become all-out fan girls.

All things 1D are everywhere - her posts on Facebook, Tumblr blog, pictures & music galore on her iPod. She even bought a 1D t-shirt in The Perfect White Shirt in M2.

It set me back Php 400.00 for the initial payment for the DVD, which actually costs Php 610.00. From this purchase, she earned herself free entrance to the whole day fan party & exclusive DVD launch. 

ONE DIRECTION is a British/Irish  boy band who placed third in the reality series X-Factor (Season 7) & was initially signed up by Simon Cowell's SYCO Records. They later inked a contract with Columbia Records in  North America.

• November 2011 - 1D released their first album, UP ALL NIGHT & became the fastest-selling debut album in the UK in 2011
• 2012 - Made it to #1 on the US BILLBOARD 200, making them the first UK band in history to debut at #1 with their first album
• UP ALL NIGHT generated the Official UK Singles Chart Top 10 singles - What Makes You Beautiful, Gotta Be You & One Thing.
• What Makes You Beautiful won the BRIT Award for Best British Single at the 2012 BRIT Awards

Despite her sister's & dad's not-so-warm reactions to her being a Directioner, I, for one, let her be since it's part of growing up & she will get out of this "fan girl" phase anyway. Besides, listening to such music lessens the generation gap, updates us parents on what's current & hip & best of all, feeling young keeps those pesky wrinkles at bay. ;)
