[store finds: 'BACBAC' FLOOR LAMP & OTTOMAN]

When we were furnishing our family area then, I wanted something in wood or any organic material to match the daybed & the entertainment center. So, I tried my luck here

& bought these.

A 5-ft tall, 2-bulb floor lamp with a diaphanous fabric diffuser.

Php 3,500.00

A pair of square ottomans that came with 1-inch thick canvass cushions.

Php 1,500.00 each

They are made of 'bacbac' the dried outerleaf sheath of the abaca plant.

So far, they have been relatively sturdy for the more than 4 years since we had them, except for these:

***the cobwebs that get caught in between the weave & the diffuser which could be tedious to remove;

***the strips of bacbac material that tend to loosen which you have to re-glue to the plywood backing.

Despite these, I think, as a whole, the floor lamp & the ottomans went well with the rest of the furniture. ;)
